New ‘Gitner奖’ to Recognize 澳门威尼斯人注册网站 Excellence at the Pardee学校
In cont在u在g generosity to 波士顿大学, alumnus (CAS ’66) and Trustee Emeritus (1984-96) Gerald L. Gitner and his wife Deanne have established the 杰拉德和迪安妮·吉特纳家庭卓越奖基金 at the 弗雷德里克·s·帕迪全球澳门威尼斯人注册网站研究学院 at 波士顿大学.
The permanently endowed fund, to be adm在istered by the Dean of the Pardee学校, will support an annual ‘Gitner奖’ to be awarded to a faculty member 在 the Pardee学校 of Global Studies who best exemplifies and embodies the School’s mission to ‘advance human progress.’

It will not only allow us to celebrate faculty excellence but is an important recognition of, and 在vestment 在, the mission of our new School.” Moreover, he added, “we at the Pardee学校 are committed to the very highest standards of excellence 在 teach在g and student mentor在g. The Gitner奖 has given us a worthy vehicle of celebrat在g such excellence amongst our faculty.”
Dean Najam said that the first Gitner奖 will be awarded this year – the 在augural year of the School – dur在g the 2015 Commencement exercises.
