Photonics Center Assistant Professor Lei Tian and Professor David Boas have developed a new wearable device that would let researchers detect full cortex-wide brain functions during activity. Assistant Professor Lei Tian’s student Yujia Xue also worked on this research and received the OSA Emil Wolf Outstanding Student Paper Prize and was a finalist for the IEEE Photonics Conferences best student award.
