PROF. KIBRIA SPEAKING IN INDIA IN DECEMBER

Prof. Nazli Kibria will be travelling to Delhi to present an address on “The Good Society, Women and Purdah: The Social Remittances of Bangladeshi Labor Migrants to Malaysia.” This will be part of the conference on “Asian Connections” of the China-South Asia International Cultural Forum, Delhi, India, Dec 4-5.

PROF. ECKSTEIN CO-HEADS CONFERENCE ON US-CUBA POLICY

On Friday November 6th 2009, Boston University hosted Whither US-Cuba Policy?, a conference engaging a range of scholars, policy makers and experts on US-Cuba policy. Professor Susan Eckstein and ambassador Paul Hare headed the event, which focused on current developments in the relationship as well as commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.
