2018年中期选举：公共卫生外卖.

In my last Dean’s Note, I 认为 that health was on the ballot in the 2018 midterm elections. 本周，健康赢了。 从气候变化，到枪支管制，再到医疗保健，影响健康的问题是全国各地运动的核心。 Soaring voter turnout showed the power of these issues to 动员 millions of people in pursuit of a healthier world. 更令人鼓舞的是，有多少候选人在有利于健康的政纲上获胜——从常识性的枪支安全改革，到全民医保，再到解决气候变化问题的意愿。 Arkansas 批准 a ballot 测量 raising the minimum wage by 29 percent over three years, a move which will help about 300,000 workers in the state access the resources they need to be healthy. Florida 批准 a ballot 测量 restoring the right to vote to more than 1 million former felons, allowing them to participate in the political process that shapes their health and the health of all. 这些只是选举带来的一些变化，这些变化对健康有积极影响。

In the US, we 花更多的钱 on health care than any other country in the world, yet we have been slow to decide whether we truly value health.
