Karen Bullock Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America

BU School of Social Work doctoral program alumna Karen Bullock (SSW’00) has been selected as a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, an esteemed status that acknowledges outstanding and continuing contributions to the field of gerontology.

A licensed clinical social worker, Bullock graduated from BU School of Social Work’s doctoral program in social work and sociology in 2000 and is currently professor and head of North Carolina State School of Social Work. Bullock specializes in health care disparities and the care of individuals with serious illnesses, and has worked in outpatient and inpatient healthcare settings for more than twenty years.
