Dr. Christina Lee, associate professor at Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW), has been awarded the prestigious Dora Goldstein Diversity in the Sciences Award by the Research Society of Alcohol. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated excellence and creativity in alcohol research, and a commitment to diversity and mentoring throughout their career.

Dr. Lee was selected for her research demonstrating that addressing stigma improves treatment outcomes for marginalized groups. In the course of this work, Dr. Lee has trained a new generation of researchers and has shared her expertise with BU graduate and undergraduates as director of the BUSSW Health Equity and Addiction Lab. She is also a 2024 Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
