Professor Hudson to Give CSWE APM Gero-Ed Kick-Off Address

Dr. Robert B. Hudson, Professor and Chair of the School’s Department of Social Welfare Policy and Director of the Louis Lowy Certificate in Gerontological Social Work, will deliver this year’s lecture to commence the Gero-Ed Track sessions at the Council of Social work Education’s Annual Program Meeting in Philadelphia on Friday, October 31. His address, Health Care: Policy Challenges and Practice Implications, will focus on the critical health care issues that both older Americans and those who provide services to them will confront in the coming years.

In addition to his BUSSW roles, Professor Hudson currently serves as editor of Public Policy & Aging Report, the quarterly publication of the National Academy on an Aging Society, and recently organized a two-volume reference set for Praeger Perspectives, entitled Boomer Bust?: Economic and Political Issues of the Graying Society.
