Professor Spencer to be Keynote Speaker at Netherlands Mentoring Conference

Assistant Professor Renee Spencer will be the keynote speaker at The Netherlands Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) National Conference on September 14. Her presentation, “Promoting High Quality Youth Mentoring Relationships: Current Research and Best Practices in the United States,” will focus on current research on the program, relationship, and individual factors that have been identified as being associated with higher quality mentoring relationships. She will present findings from her companion qualitative interview studies of close and enduring relationships and ones that ended prematurely. And, she will discuss implications of this research for mentoring program practices.
