Bruce Robert Campbell

Bruce Robert Campbell of Pipestone, Minnesota received a Ph.B. from Hamlin University in 1907. He was also a member of the Beta-Omicron of Sigma Kappa fraternity. He was remembered for an incurably giddy nature that no doubt made him a delight to encounter.

There’s Campbell always laughing, never still,
Whose face is always hatching out a smile;
For meet him when and where and how you will,
He’ll giggle like a school girl all the while.
I wonder if he could be dignified,
Or quit his girl-like giggling if he tried.

Bruce Campbell is coming, Oho! Oho!
He plays on the organ, not the bagpipe, tho’;
Never misses at chapel—let none other speak!
Perhaps that’s the reason his pals call him “Deac.”
