We, the authors and Publisher of the journal Advances and Applications in Bioinformatics and Chemistry are retracting the published article.

Since publication, the authors noticed that due to a parameter error in the R-based random forest analysis, LAMP5 was identified as the central gene instead of AURKA. As this error directly impacts the reported results and conclusions the authors alerted the issue to the Publisher, and all have agreed to retract the article to ensure correction of the scholarly record.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted articles will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but they will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
