Professor Norkin is an Internet, mobile content, multimedia, and video/TV expert who has worked for companies such as InterActiveCorp, Palm, and Hearst. She managed wireless content partnerships and the software download business for Palm, helped start Podcast.com and InfoPlease.com, which was later acquired by Pearson Education, and continues to provide guidance for IAC entities such as Gifts.com and content sites such as StockPhotoPro.com. Professor Norkin was assistant news director and executive producer of news, specials, and production at New England Television and executive producer at Hearst’s WCVB-TV, where she was in charge of the daily newscasts, winning numerous local and national awards. Prior to that, Professor Norkin was in news management with Post-­Newsweek and Westinghouse Broadcasting. She started her media career working in the White House as a photographer. Professor Norkin teaches a wide range of multimedia, broadcast journalism, and video production courses and ran the Podcast Academy at Boston University.
