Polina Lissin is a BA/MPH 4+1 student at Boston University College of Arts & Sciences and School of Public Health. Her BA is in political science and philosophy, and plans to concentrate in health policy and law for her MPH. She is passionate about health policy and ethical global health practices. Polina has worked for a Global Health lab and is currently leading a qualitative research team to assess acceptability and cultural humility in the implementation of a new biometric patient identification system in Zambia. She is also working on a Keystone thesis project, for the Kilachand Honors College, examining philosophic ideologies underlying conservative opposition to universal healthcare and health coverage. Polina is currently a teaching assistant for an undergraduate global health course (HS325) and is service vice president for BU’s gender-inclusive community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega.
