Dr. Cole is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Law, Policy, and Management at Boston University School of Public Health. Her research focuses primarily on Medicaid and other low-income, safety-net populations, especially federally qualified health center (FQHC) populations. She is particularly interested in how state- and federal-level health policy affects racial equity in insurance coverage, quality of care, and access to care. She works primarily with large observational data sets, applying methods in econometrics and causal inference. Dr. Cole completed her PhD in health services research at Brown University’s School of Public Health and received an MPH in health policy from Yale University’s School of Public Health.
