
Afi Mansa Semenya

Afi Mansa Semenya joined the Department of Family Medicine in the fall of 2014 as Clinical Instructor. She comes from the University of North Carolina Family Medicine Residency in Chapel Hill, NC where she graduated in June 2014. She served as vice president of the GME housestaff Council and resident leader of the resident diversity initiative. Her current roles have included providing primary care services at community health centers within the Boston Healthnet, currently at Greater Roslindale Medical Center and teaching medical students from BU School of Medicine in addition to precepting residents. She has also served in administrative roles as the Family Medicine Medical Director and Interim Residency Director at South Boston Community Health Center and as a racial equity champion within the Department of Family Medicine. Her research interests include health equity, maternal child care and chronic disease management.
