
Lorraine Weiss
Director of Finance & Administration
Lorraine is the Director of Finance and Administration at the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research. Lorraine reports to the Senior Director of Finance and Administration, supporting the Center’s operating budget process, financial forecasting, and strategic plan. She will also help in creating and maintaining best practices in Finance and Human Resources Administration.
Lorraine joined Boston University in 2008 as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Medical Campus. She continued her career path on the Charles River Campus within the Budget Office as Senior Budget Analyst and promoted to Assistant Director, Budget & Planning in 2018. There, she was responsible for managing BU’s annual budget development and quarterly confirmation processes for all academic, administrative, and auxiliary units. Lorraine implemented and maintained systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting. In 2021, Lorraine served as Director of Financial Operations at WBUR, where she managed the annual/quarterly budget processes and the financial operations of the station including direct oversight of payroll, disbursements, grant administration (pre and post award), miscellaneous receivables, and gift processing.
Lorraine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.
