
Stephanie Ettinger de Cuba

Dr. Ettinger de Cuba is the executive director for Children’s HealthWatch, a nonpartisan research and policy network with the mission to improve the health of young children by informing policies that address and alleviate economic hardships. Dr. Ettinger de Cuba has worked on issues of social determinants of health for young children and their families in program, policy, and research roles for more than two decades. Her research interests include intersections of immigration policy, race and ethnicity, access to basic needs, and social policy, particularly in early childhood. Previously, she worked at Project Bread focusing on SNAP (formerly food stamps) policy and outreach. Dr. Ettinger de Cuba also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia. She received her BA from the University of Michigan, her MPH in International Health from Boston University School of Public Health, where she also earned her PhD in Health Services Research. Dr. Ettinger de Cuba is currently a Research Associate Professor at Boston University Schools of Public Health & Medicine.
