I am a social epidemiologist at BUSPH who studies urban health, focusing on community-based gun violence prevention and the reforms needed to address racial/ethnic disparities in youth violence exposure. I have recently completed studies on COVID-19 disparities, police violence, and the relationship between the built environment and gun assaults. My research methods include spatial analysis, econometrics, and machine learning. I hold a doctorate in public health (DrPH) from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
