国际教育周是波士顿大学庆祝多元化的机会

Globally speaking, it’s been a good year for BU: students from 153个国家 applied for admission to the class of 2020, the University now offers more than 90个留学项目, and it was 排名第32 among the top 1,000 universities worldwide.
These are just some of the hallmarks that will be celebrated during 国际教育周, a joint initiative of the US Departments of State and of 教育 that seeks to highlight the importance of international education. The University first participated in the program in 2012, and this year is hosting 70个事件, planned by 38 schools, departments, and campus organizations, with a focus on global education and exchange activities. The weeklong program, organized by BU全球项目, starts today.
Among this year’s events are 职业研讨会, 庆祝晚宴, 留学说明会, and even 探戈课程. 全球项目战略与传播总监阿曼达•米勒（Amanda Miller）表示，今年的活动比去年增加了近30个，并将活动的扩大归功于她所在办公室的外联努力。

米勒对可能受到上周二总统选举影响的几件事感到特别兴奋。 These include a 讨论 about the place and influence of physical walls, such as the Berlin Wall, the Great Wall of China, (and possibly, Donald Trump’s Mexican border wall), in history; live Skype的采访 with BU students studying abroad who will discuss how their host countries are responding to the election; and the 全球卫生专题讨论会, which will focus on the latest technologies in health care innovation and global health care access issues.
