YouSpeak: Depression at BU

In our weekly feature “YouSpeak,” we ask students to answer a single question. Because Thursday, October 7, is annual National Depression Screening Day, part of Mental Health Awareness Week, this week’s question is more serious [...]than previous ones. Colleges across the country are holding a one-day screening program to help identify students suffering from depression or at risk for the disease, which is believed to affect as many as 45 percent of college students.
