In 1976, British talk show host David Frost conducted 11 in-depth interviews with disgraced former U.S. President Richard M. Nixon. Those televised talks formed the basis for Peter Morgan's acclaimed 2006 play Frost/Nixon. The lead actors from the [...]current national stage tour, Stacy Keach (Nixon) and Alan Cox (Frost), are joined by Robert Zelnick, a College of Communication journalism professor, who was executive editor for the historic interviews. Actor Bob Ari, who plays Zelnick, participates as well. The panel participants discuss their research for roles, the tragedy of Nixon's personality, the influence of reviews and critics, and the conflation of history and entertainment.
Hosted by College of Communication on January 29, 2009.
