Boston-Area Migration Workshop To Hold Panel Discussion on Decolonizing Migration Studies
The Boston-Area Migration workshop, organized by Nazli Kibria (Professor of Sociology and the Associate Dean of the Faculty for the Social Sciences), will host the panel discussion “Decolonizing Migration Studies” on Thursday February 3, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. Register for the panel discussion here.
The panel will feature Jose Itzigsohn (Brown University), Bandana Purkayastha (University of Connecticut), Peggy Levitt (Wellesley College), and Vilna Bashi Treitler (Northwestern University). Nazli Kibria will moderate the panel discussion.
Throughout the academic year, the Workshop provides a meeting space for scholars of global migration and immigration to exchange ideas and discuss research projects.
