This week's featured alum is 沃尔特·麦德 (’76), an assistant managing editor at 底特律新闻, responsible for overseeing the paper’s investigative team. 他还编辑周刊的娱乐和评论栏目。 Over the course of his career, he has written and edited for numerous newspapers, including the 明尼阿波利斯星, the 圣保罗调度 and 先锋新闻, 《今日美国》, 《新闻日报》/纽约 《新闻日报》, and the 纽约时报, where he edited the paper’s “Styles of the Times” weekly section. Middlebrook was an assistant features editor at 底特律新闻 for a year in 1987 before heading to 《今日美国》, and returned to the paper in 2007 as director of recruitment and community affairs. 2009年,他被提升为《都市》栏目的副总编辑,并于2014年担任现职。
