Race and gender in sports are in focus for this Friday’s second annual 向前走 sports communication summit, cosponsored by the 传媒学院 and BU 体育运动, with additional support from 更大, BU’s National Public Radio station, and the University’s 霍华德瑟曼共同立场中心.
“One of the reasons we’re doing this conference is because in this day and age sports journalists need to be conversant with more than just the Xs and Os, what goes on out on the field, and who was drafted with the first pick,” says COM lecturer and summit host 安德里亚·克雷默, chief correspondent for the NFL Network, correspondent for 布莱恩特·甘贝尔的《真实体育》 on HBO, and cohost of 我们需要谈谈 on the CBS Sports Network.
