The BU CTSI COVID-19 Related Research Publications
The COVID-19 Related Research funds sponsored by the Clinical and Translational Science Institute aim to support research investigators through funding opportunities for novel and innovative clinical and translational research. In response to the unprecedented pandemic, we’ve awarded $420,934 to 20 research investigators who have spearheaded cutting-edge research on COVID-19. We are proud to share nine outstanding publications from our research investigators, who have pioneered a new understanding of the genetic complexities of COVID-19 and its impact on the health of the general public. Among those publications, four have gained significant news media uptake, while three have been featured in high-impact journals in their respective fields. The mission of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute is to empower our research investigators with seed funding that allows them to critically explore and solve major challenges in translational science, especially the significant health problems prevalent in our urban communities. By supporting our research investigators with the development and deployment of new tools, methods, and processes, together we expedite clinical and translational research and discovery to address COVID-19 specific challenges.
