Faculty Appointments and Promotions Announced
Dr. Haneen Bokhadoor appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Periodontology & Oral Biology at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) and Assistant Professor of Periodontology at Boston University Institute of Dental Research and Education Dubai (BUIDRE). Dr. Bokhadoor received a DDS from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and a MSD and CAGS in periodontics from BUGSDM. She also completed an Implantology Fellowship at BUGSDM. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Bokhadoor worked as a Periodontist at the Bneid Al Gar Center in Kuwait City.
Dr. Ralph Hawkins appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Endodontics at BUGSDM and Assistant Professor of Endodontics at BUIDRE. Dr. Hawkins received his DDS from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), School of Dentistry and a CAGS in Endodontics from BUGSDM. Prior to joining the faculty at BUGSDM Dr. Hawkins served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Dentistry and the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry. He also practiced endodontics at his private practice in Anaheim, California.
Dr. Michael Arcieri appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry. Dr. Arcieri received his DMD from BUGSDM. In addition to serving on the faculty, he practices general dentistry at his private practice in South Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Meera Subramaniam appointed Clinical Instructor of General Dentistry. Dr. Subramaniam received her BDS from University of Mumbai, School of Dental Medicine and her DMD from BUGSDM. Dr. Subramaniam is also a dentist at the Boston University Dental Health Center, 930 Commonwealth Avenue location.
Dr. Khiem Pham-Nguyen appointed Clinical Instructor of Orthodontics. Dr. Pham-Nguyen received a DMD, MS, and CAGS in orthodontics from BUGSDM. In addition to serving on the faculty, he practices orthodontics at his private practice in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
Dr. Eva Helmerhorst promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor of Periodontology & Oral Biology. Dr. Helmerhorst received her MS and PhD at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. In addition to serving on the faculty at BUGSDM, she is also Assistant Professor of the Division of General Medical Sciences at the Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hideo Yamamoto promoted from Clinical Assistant Professor to Clinical Associate Professor of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials. Dr. Yamamoto received his DDS from Tokyo Dental College and his CAGS in prosthodontics and DMD degrees from BUGSDM. In addition to serving on the faculty, Dr. Yamamoto is President and CEO of Yamamoto & Associates in Newton Centre, Massachusetts.
