BUGSDM Hosts ASDA District 1 Meeting

The Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) hosted the ASDA District 1 Meeting on January 10. The meeting brought together 28 students from the four schools included in District 1: BUGSDM, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
The meeting served as an opportunity for the chapters to get together and update each other on all of the events and hard work that took place since the last District 1 meeting on October 26. Kerry Anzenberger DMD 09 serves and the District 1 Trustee and she presided over the meeting, updating the chapters on due dates for ASDA’s approaching 39th Annual Session that will take place March 25-29 in Louisville, Kentucky, and training them in parliamentary procedure and resolution writing.
"Because of the ASDA calendar change this year there are Annual Sessions back to back without a regional meeting, which means it is very important for us to keep in touch and keep updated through these district meetings," said Anzenberger. "I am so proud to be the Trustee to represent District 1 because I feel as though we have the strongest district in the country. It has truly been an honor serving all of these schools and students."
"In my first ASDA District meeting I was very proud to see the level of leadership exhibited by BUGSDM students," said newly appointed ASDA Faculty Advisor Dr. Joseph Calabrese. "Their conduct was a wonderful representation of the BUGSDM student body and our School as a whole."
