Bring on the Cookies!

Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Predoctoral Clinical Education Dr. John Guarente hosted a fall-theme Cookie Day on November 18. Cookie Day celebrates the hard work of the students in the Predoctoral Treatment Center and encourages them to slow down from their hectic schedule; catch up with friends, faculty, and staff; and enjoy a tasty snack.

"Evidence based research has proven that all concerns are solved when you eat cookies!" said Dr. Guarente.

"This is a wonderful tradition started by Dr. Guarente and his staff," added Dean Jeffrey Hutter. "I know the students have had a very busy semester up to this point and this celebration was extremely well-deserved."

Dr. Guarente would also like to recognize Kristen Donovan, Elizabeth Fay, and Markendy "Mac" Pierre for their contributions to Cookie Day. These hardworking staff members had the sixth-floor waiting area full of decorations, treats, and good cheer for the students to enjoy.

Photos from Cookie Day are available on GSDM’s flickr account and also on the Facebook page.
