Endodontic Alumni Association Holds Fall Meeting in Santa Fe

Members of the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) Endodontic Alumni Association held their Fall 2008 Meeting at Bishop’s Lodge Ranch Resort and Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico from October 1 – 4. The meeting brought together 56 guests for three days of case presentations, lectures, meetings, receptions, and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Site Chairman Phil Edgerton ENDO 91 and Scientific Chairman Tom McClammy ENDO 99 worked with Director of Alumni Affairs Stacey McNamee to organize the weekend. Case studies were presented by Danny Bellamy ENDO 98, Bryan Beebe ENDO 93, John J. Stropke ENDO 89, and Howard Pranikoff ENDO 79. A featured lecture titled, "The CAT’s out of the Bag!": Cone Beam VT for Dentistry was presented by Dr. Dale Miles.

Ralph Hawkins ENDO 89 spoke about Boston University in Dubai, Dean Jeffrey Hutter gave the State of the Program Address highlighting the current BUGSDM search for the combined positions of Chair of the Department of Endodontics and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Endodontics, and Endodontic Alumni Association President Yves Yana ENDO 88 also addressed the group.

"This meeting was a wonderful example of BUGSDM alumni coming together to reconnect with the School, as well as their former classmates and friends," said Dean Hutter. "I was pleased to be a part of it and I hope that future endodontic graduates, as well as past graduates who are not currently active, will take advantage of the opportunity to join such a wonderful group." Dean Hutter continued, "I appreciate all the support that has been provided to me by the Endodontic Alumni Association since I came to BUGSDM and as Dean, and I look forward to continuing to work with them."
