ASDA Hosts Success Seminar

On February 27, ASDA hosted the second of two Success Seminars on Practice Management for members of the fourth-year DMD and second-year AS classes. Approximately 95 students attended this Seminar.

Dr. Evelyne Vu Tien, a Pediatric Dentist in private practice in San Diego, California was the presenter. She received her DDS from University of California, San Francisco in 2003, and completed her residency in 2006. Dr. Vu Tien has been active in organized dentistry since her student days as an ASDA leader.

The seminar covered recruiting and leading a successful dental team; production, collection and expense management; dental reimbursement and benefit plans; locating, financing and marketing the dental practice; and patient expectations and dentist responsibilities.

Student attendees also received a special treat of a GSDM hat from Director of Alumni Relations Stacey McNamee, on behalf of Alumni Relations, during the lunch portion of the seminar.
