Beating the Heat at the Ice Cream Social

Nothing gets GSDM faculty, staff, and students to come outside like ice cream sundaes on a sunny day—a point that we proved once again at GSDM’s fourth annual Ice Cream Social hosted by Dean and Mrs. Jeffrey W. Hutter. The event was held outside the Dental School on Monday, July 9, 2012.

With many people returning from long July 4th holiday weekends that day, the event was a great opportunity to reconnect. Lines wrapped around the side of the School as people waited for an impressive variety of ice cream flavors and toppings.

Many students in the DMD 3 class, which participated in the annual Pain Control exercise last week, expressed joy that their anesthetic injections wore off just in time to enjoy ice cream.

“It is always a pleasure to see our faculty, staff, and students come out for this special event,” Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter said. “We are fortunate that the weather cooperated and we had a pleasant afternoon.”
