A Diversion for Today – What Are You Listening To?

What I’m listening to?

Funk. We owe our collective groove to the funk.  James Brown started it. Sly Stone and Parliament-Funkadelic perfected it. The Ohio Players and Cameo gave it some stank. Prince, the Digital Underground, Outkast, Rick James, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Afrika Bambaataa, Rage Against the Machine, and Teddy Riley worked it.  In my word, George Clinton is divine – I’m a big fan of the not just knee deep, totally deep P-Funk. The Bomb.  Bury me with the honor of a true funk soldier.

That said, tonight, I get to throw down with Dory and Christina – two women who sport the funk and like it uncut – on their WTBU Radio show White Chocolate Drizzle.  Here’s a taste of my playlist:
