Friday Fun: SM and Oscar

Finally got a chance to check out the Oscars.  I was one of those folks watching the social media aspect of it instead of the real thing.  Now that I’ve had a chance to make it through the broadcast (yawn), here are my quick social media take tsotchkes:

• know your occasion: for real power, your online stuff has to be about something that matters
• get a writer authentic to your voice: got to use YOUR own words to keep it real (if authenticity is important to you, than use your own words and style)
• don’t worry about perfect – good enough will do: SM is something that’s tough to get perfect, and hard to mess up (if you’re keeping it real)
• careful with the swearing- could be a quick way to loose friends and followers
