President Brown and Vice President Waters Meet With Policymakers

On September 10, Boston University President Robert A. Brown and Vice President and Associate Provost for Research Gloria Waters traveled to Washington, D.C., to discuss important research and academic initiatives at BU with the U.S. Secretary of Energy, the Director of the National Science Foundation, key research staff at the Department of Defense, the President of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and U.S. Representative Michael Capuano (D-MA). Conversations ranged from neuroscience research to the opening of the BU Pardee School of Global Studies to the status of the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories.
