Diaspora Internship 2015
All applications for WARA grants, including the Diaspora Internship, must be submitted online. The deadline for applications is February 1, 2015.
Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Diaspora Graduate Student Internship competition is open to U.S. citizens who are enrolled in the M.A. program of an accredited college or university in the United States. We strongly encourage students from HBCU’s and those without previous foreign travel experience to apply.
The internship will provide round trip travel toa West African country and a stipend of $2,500 to cover the cost of living for 6 to 8 weeks during the summer of 2015. The West African Research Center (WARC) in Dakar, Senegal may assist interns to locate lodging, and with other logistical matters.
