Volunteer Abroad Panel and Fair hosted by Hostelling International Boston and Peace Corps
Hostelling International Boston and the Peace Corps have joined forces to host a special volunteer abroad panel and fair featuring some of the area’s premier international organizations. Attendees will hear from United Planet, All Hands Volunteers, WorldTeach, Engineers Without Borders and Cross Cultural Solutions about how they can get involved with volunteer work overseas. The panel, from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m., will provide the audience a chance to hear about application processes, lengths of volunteer commitments, countries in which organizations serve, and information on the programs. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions to panelists directly too. Panelists include Cross Cultural Solutions, WorldTeach, United Planet, and Engineers Without Borders. Following the panel, an open fair, from 7:15 – 8:30 p.m. features additional organizations, providing prospective volunteers with an opportunity to collect information from each organization and ask questions one-on-one to each organization representative. Light refreshments will be provided.
