he Aspen Ideas Festival is the nation’s premier public gathering for leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to engage in deep and inquisitive discussion of the ideas and issues that both shape our lives and challenge our times. Some 450 presenters, more than 300 sessions, and 3000 attendees comprise the annual Aspen Ideas Festival, launched in 2005, on the Aspen Institute’s campus in Aspen, Colorado. Aspen Ideas Festival Spotlight Health, which launched in 2014, is the first official expansion of the Aspen Ideas Festival focusing entirely on health and healthcare. This public convening offers participants the opportunity to join in dynamic conversations about health from a comprehensive perspective. Spotlight Health will explore the key issues of our time as they relate to medicine, population health, and global health, as well as the relationship between health and other disciplines. Spotlight Health is the only global convening that affords participants the space to exchange ideas with Nobel laureates, world leaders, industry executives, innovators, entrepreneurs, policy experts, philanthropists, and others who are transforming the way we think about health and healthcare in the United States and around the world.
Overview of Responsibilities:
This position will work with the Spotlight Health team based in Washington, DC. We seek an organized, self-starting intern with strong attention to detail paired with superb research skills to support the development of Spotlight Health 2015.
The Spotlight Health intern will report to the Associate Director of Programming in the Health, Medicine, and Society Program at the Aspen Institute.
