The Second Annual Health and Life Sciences Conference, hosted by BU School of Management, is November 7th; this year’s topic is “Healthcare 2020: The Next Generation of Innovation in Consumer-Centric Healthcare”
This year's event will build on the success of last year's inaugural conference. This event will once again convene graduate students, faculty and industry professionals to establish a new vision for the nation's struggling healthcare system. Keynote speakers and panelists, representing hospitals, health plans, life sciences, IT and public health perspectives, will explore opportunities to increase patient engagement and promote innovation in the development and delivery of medicine.

Boston University’s School of Management is hosting its second annual Health and Life Sciences Conference on November 7, 2014
This half-day conference, Healthcare 2020: The Next Generation of Innovation in Consumer-Centric Healthcare, will explore opportunities to increase patient engagement and promote innovation in the development and delivery of medicine.

The conference will run from 1-6pm and will consist of two keynote lectures, several TED-style presentations and a panel discussion. The event will conclude with a networking cocktail reception.
- TED-style presentations will focus on specific applications of innovation across a range of organizations and will include examples of new technologies and collaborative models that aim to individualize patient treatment.
- The discussion panel will connect experts from across the healthcare spectrum (delivery, pharma, global health, and health IT) to highlight opportunities for increasing patient engagement and sharing their voice in the management and delivery of care.

Looking for innovative ways to apply your public health skills? Interested in global health issues of the 21st century? Join our team for the International Emory Global Health Case Competition, March 27-28, 2015. We are creating a diverse team of BU students from medicine, public health, engineering, and business for this competition and especially need MPH students with strong presentation skills. Registration and travel costs will be covered by BU. If you are interested, please complete the application form by 10pm on October 17.
