Fatima Blanca Munoz

Program Manager & Administrator

Fatima was the Program Manager & Administrator of the Initiative on Cities at Boston University. In this role, she managed IOC’s events and programs along with overseeing the IOC’s student staff. Additionally, she coordinated the IOC’s urban student government fellowships, managed the seed grant fund, and provided administrative support to the team.

Prior to joining the IOC, Fatima worked in student affairs at Tufts University, specifically with the Asian American Center and the Women’s Center. Within this role, she supported and worked with students to help develop inclusive and sustainable programs through an intersectional feminist lens. Fatima’s work within these identity centers helped create a sustainable environment for student activism and foster a community for folks holding multiple marginalized identities.

Fatima has also served in various outreach and grassroots organizing roles, focusing on women and Asian American Pacific Islander communities, through local nonprofits and city campaigns in her hometown of Southern California. Fatima received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
