About the Survey

Named after the co-founder of the Initiative on Cities, Mayor Tom Menino, the Menino Survey of Mayors is the only nationally representative and scientifically rigorous survey of American mayors. For over a decade, the Menino Survey has been based on live interviews with mayors about the pressing challenges they identify for their cities, their priorities going forward, and expectations for the future of their city. The survey is conducted annually by our staff and faculty leads: Katherine Levine Einstein, David Glick, Maxwell Palmer, Stacy Fox, and Danielle Mulligan.
