Adela Pineda – Premio Bellas Artes de Ensayo Literario Malcom Lowry 2016

Adela Pineda Franco, Director of BU’s Latin American Studies Program, received the Malcolm Lowry Literature Essay Fine Arts Award 2016 for her research, “The Trails of John Steinbeck for Mexico, the Cinema and the Vicissitudes of Progress.” Enjoy this interview with her!

In this presentation, Prof. Pineda is joined by the Secretary of Culture, Cristina Faesler and Jonathan Minila of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura. The panel was moderated by the director of the Editorial Fund of the State of Morelos, Sergio David Lara Castañeda. The ceremony took place in the Manuel M. Ponce Hall of the Borda Garden Cultural Center, Cuernavaca, Morelos.
