Healthcare attorney Lauren Burns (’10) joins Nelson Mullins in Charleston
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced that Lauren Michele Burns (’10) has joined the firm in its Charleston office, where she will practice with the Healthcare Team. She joins as of counsel from University of Maryland Medical System where she served as associate counsel.
Burns represents clients in healthcare transactional and regulatory matters. As a former in-house attorney for two healthcare entities, she has a background in advising legal and operational leaders on state and federal healthcare regulations, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, Civil Monetary Penalties and HIPAA.
