Graduate Student Appreciation Week 2025: Trainee Spotlights for Tuesday, April 8th

Join us as we celebrate National Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week from April 7-11 by highlighting some of trainees’ research and personal interests.  We will post two new Trainee Spotlights every day for National Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week 2025, so be sure to check back daily!

Our Trainee Spotlights for Tuesday, April 8th are Celeste Deng and Chris Kuffner.  Celeste is a graduate student working in The Cell & Tissue Mechanics Lab with PI Bela Suki, as well as the Nia Lab with PI Hadi Nia, working mainly on measurements of individual collagen fibers in the Department of Biomedical Engineering here at Boston University. Celeste has been a very active member of the CMTM community, including presenting at our annual Trainees on Tap event.  Chris is a Ph.D. student in The Ngo Lab with PI John Ngo, working on achieving a multi-scale understanding of the molecular organization of life using use molecular engineering to probe and re-program how cells communicate with one another at cell-cell interfaces.  Chris is another active member of CMTM, attending many social and academic events with usClick on the button below to read their full spotlights!
