Microsoft Teams Access Control
With Microsoft Teams you are able to contact your colleagues from any department or group, but being part of a Microsoft Teams group opens up many more features. Members of an MS Teams group are able to:
- Use channels post and discuss topics with their fellow members.
- Access the SharePoint site and the associated storage.
- View and edit the group calendars.
- Receive emails sent to the group email list.
Membership to a MS Teams group is managed in three ways:
- MET IT Automation that occurs during onboarding/offboarding
- Manual changes made by a group’s owner
- Manual request by group member with owner approval
