Alexandra Salcedo

Assistant Director of International Admissions & Immigration

In my role in Admissions, I work mainly with prospective and current international first-year and transfer students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend university or college outside of their home country. For this reason, it is important to me to have a strong understanding of what the first-generation experience is like at BU and what resources are available to students once they arrive on campus.

  • First-Generation Graduate
  • Gender Identity and Pronouns: she/her/hers
  • Hometown: Rockport, MA
  • Languages Spoken: English, Spanish
  • Business/Industry of Interest: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences
  • Personal Facts/ Hobbies/ Interests: I am originally from Toronto, ON but grew up in Rockport, MA, on Boston’s ‘other cape.’ I have lived, studied, and worked all over the world, but Boston is home. I love exploring the city with my family – most outings revolve around a new restaurant or cuisine! I am happiest when curled up with a good book, eating a good meal with friends and family, practicing yoga, or hearing my sweet boy giggle.
