I became a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate because I was a first generation undergraduate and then graduate student. I recognize the unique challenges that come with being a first-generation student at an institution like BU. I also recognize the role that faculty can play in helping students feel accepted and welcome, and want to help students find their place and reach their full potential as part of the BU community.
