Medical Research Librarian, Education & Information Services department of Alumni Medical Library
I became a Terrier F1RSTS Advocate because although I was not a first-gen student, I am a BU alum of the English program and was also a transfer student here. I received my associate degree in Upstate New York (home) before coming to BU to complete my bachelor’s degree. As a transfer student, I felt lost in a sea of people who already knew each other, and it took a lot of effort to develop my own community. As a librarian here on the Medical Campus, I love supporting students, connecting them with the information they need, and just getting to know them and hearing their stories. While supporting students is part of my job, it’s also something I find so fun and personally rewarding. Maybe you relate to being a transfer student here, maybe you’re on the Med Campus or are an English student, maybe you’re from NY and are a fellow Yankees fan, or maybe we have nothing in common! As a Terrier F1RST advocate, I’ll try to help you as best as I can. Also, if you have any questions specifically about academic libraries or doing research, I’d love to chat!
