GEGI and UN Sponsor Workshop on International Financial Regulations
The Boston University Global Economic Governance Initiative is co-sponsoring a two-day workshop with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, Switzerland on Oct 3 and 4. The workshop will bring together policymakers, negotiators, and experts on cross-border financial regulations to assess the rationale and proper use of cross-border financial regulations in developing countries in the wake of the global financial crisis. GEGI Co-Director and Pardee Faculty Fellow Kevin Gallagher will give opening remarks and serve as a panelist during two of the workshop sessions. More information is available here on the GEGI website. GEGI is a joint research program of the Pardee Center, the Center for Finance, Law & Policy, and the Center for International Relations.
