President Emeritus John Silber dies at 86
John Silber, president emeritus, University Professor, and Professor of Philosophy, Law, and International Relations, died on Thursday, September 27, at age 86. Silber came to Boston University in 1971 and served as the University’s seventh president for more than three decades, until 1996, then as University chancellor from 1996 to 2003.
