U.S. News Ranks BU School of Social Work #10 in the Nation for 2nd Consecutive Year

March 12, 2019

The 2020 edition of U.S. News’ “America’s Best Graduate Schools” ranks the Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW) #10 in the country for the 2nd consecutive year.

“We are pleased to continue our strong #10 ranking in the U.S. News survey.” said Dean Jorge Delva.  “This honor, out of 262 social work graduate programs, is once again a testament to the important and inspiring work our BUSSW community does to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable populations in the world.”

The timing of the rankings is particularly relevant during National Social Work Month. The social work program rankings are based solely on a five-point peer assessment score. To gather the data, U.S. News asked deans, program directors, and senior faculty to judge the academic quality of programs in their field on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (outstanding).
