World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Comes to Boston University in 2010
Boston University has won the bid to host the World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in June 2010. Organizers are Dr. Gail Steketee, Professor and currently Dean ad interim at the School of Social Work, and Dr. Michael Otto, Professor and Director of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders in the Department of Psychology, and past president of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. The Association will co-sponsor this major international conference.
Expected to draw 2,000 to 3,000 people, the World Congress will highlight research and clinical presentations by prominent scholars on evidence based practices for a wide variety of mental health problems. The Congress will be held on the BU campus and take advantage of Boston venues for major social events.
